Facing Global Challenges With Politics 2.0

Oliver Bildesheim and I are very happy that we got the English version of our blogpost about Politics 2.0 published on the Open Gov Partnership blog last week. 2 month ago we published the German vision on the blog of the Government 2.0 network Germany and got 2.400 views so far.

Politics 2.0 is the next step of policy making which is needed in the future when facing global challenges. There exists no model for a comprehensive internet based policy making process so far. Maybe we can contribute to that debate about Open Gov a little bit with this small piece of work.

People now live their day-to-day lives in a society that is fundamentally different from how it was before the new millennium. We are living in a world of globalization where open agile networking has penetrated every corner of our existence. Large parts of the business world have recognized that one of the consequences of such a change is that customers no longer see themselves simply as consumers. Yet politics lags light years behind in its perspective of citizens.
